A well worn and characterful fragrance can add that extra touch to your look and even define your aura. Fragrance is an individual choice and a fashion and personal statement and it is important to wear the correct fragrance for your character. Fragrance is a luxury for the senses and a fine quality aftershave is still a status statement. This luxurious quality to a finely crafted fragrance has been evident since the perfumery industry began in Europe in the 14th century, when perfumes were used primarily by royalty and the wealthy to mask bodily odours resulting from the sanitary practices of the day and thus the ability to smell fragrant and masculine underlined your superior status.

Kenzo Takada was born in Japan in 1939. After a brief stint at university, he attended the Bunka Fashion College and when he completed his studies he moved to Paris in 1964, where he tried to get his talents noticed. He eventually s old some design sketches and, in 1970, Kenzo had his first show and celebrated the establishment of his store, which he named Jungle Jap.
Kenzo’s collections were shown in New York and Tokyo, and in the late 1970s he staged amazing shows in circus tents. 1983 saw Kenzo launch a menswear range, and in 1988 the design house expanded its product lines by releasing its first perfume. LVMH bought the company in 1993, and in 1999 Kenzo Takada retired for a while, before returning in 2005 with a line of home designs.

Story
L'Eau par Kenzo for men is a sparkling fragrance, both sober and minimalist. .
Its olfactory signature is simple, fresh and invigorating.
A fragrance which rejuvenates and provides a feeling of serenity.

 

Perfume description
A fresh scent to be discovered throughout the fragrance.
L'eau par Kenzo opens with a top note of Yuzu, a small Japanese lime, bringing freshness and sparkle.
A rising, lightly spicy note of Ho leaf, a variety of rosewood, leads into the middle note, bringing natural simplicity.
In the middle note, lotus reigns supreme. It is a flower from time immemorial and a symbol of wisdom. It is accompanied by water mint.
Green pepper reveals its vigor and strength in the end note.
White musk gives a sensual touch and leaves its imprint on the skin.

Top note: Yuzu, Ho leaf
Middle note: Lotus flower, Water Pepper, Ozonic note
Base note: White musk, Green pepper

Bottle
The translucent bottle with its light and refined shape evokes a drop of water. The blue cap harmonizes with the transparent smoky blue glass of the bottle. The grainy texture of the packaging evokes wet granite or a rock eroded by time. The back of the box features a poem by Kenzo.
